I’m Alive …
That’s right, I haven’t died … yet. I am playing the crap out of Wrath of the Lich King, though, and enjoying every moment of it.
Like everyone else, I created a Death Knight, but he’s just hanging out, chillin’ while I level my main. Shavelle, my Draenei Hunter, is 73 and 4 1/4 bubbles in on her way to 74.
The first day of release, Thursday, and most of the morning and afternoon of Friday was fine. Even Friday night was decent. But when I logged in Saturday morning to get in some play time … oh my God … It was chaos. You had 20 people trying to complete the same quests with limited resources and long respawn times. It was crazy. People were ninja’ing your materials right out from infront of you. Oh … and the queue times for many realms was in the “hour” wait range.
As of yesterday, Monday, things were calming down. I expect next weekend to be a bit of a rush again, though.
Other than that, I have no complaints, so far. The expansion is great, Northrend is beautiful, and the starting zone quests are fun (if not more of the same we’re use to) and interactive. Great job, Blizzard … now see if you can fix my pet’s sudden fear of water.
