A Brief Interlude

As I posted a week or so ago, I started reading Gone Girl by Gillian Flynn. Well, I had issues with our male main character because, to be perfectly honest, he’s an ass. But I just got to the “Four Days Gone” chapter … OH MY GOD. I just want to reach in and take matters into my own hands, here. This is really starting to pee me off! AARRRGHH!!

  1. So your not a fan of it either? I couldn’t get past the 6th chapter without being like ” ok this guy is an ass” and it wasn’t as interesting as I thought it would

  2. I’m not sure if I can say it’s disappointment, but I don’t feel the book deserves the praise I’ve heard on it. I am not impressed with the writing, the characters seem pretty weak and the main character, Nick, is a huge unlikable jerk. At this point in the story I hope they are somehow able to frame everything on him and give him life in prison.

But I’m invested now, I have to see this mess through to the end. But really, its about enough to make me throw the book across the room.

  3. Yeah I felt the same way! I was like ” ok this is on the bestsellers list has to be good” Yeah started reading it and was bored! If you finish it and say it is worth it I will re read it but just couldn’t get myself to.
