Happy, Happy, Happy by Phil Robertson & Mark Schlabach

Phil Robertson recently admitted in an interview with GQ (perhaps you’ve heard of this particular interview by now, ahem), that he’d never read the book he supposedly wrote. I suppose that’s why Mr. Schlabach shares the cover as co-author, as he does a great job relating Mr. Robertson’s tale of how he was raised, how they survived, his wife he met in high school and married at 15 years of age, his history of trouble and drinking up ’til he was 28 and what saved him. The book spends much of the 2nd half detailing the history of his family business, Duck Commander. It’s a good, quick read with humor thrown into the mix to get passed the rough spots where things got a little tight in their history.
