Hi-ho, Neighbors! (The Star Wars 7 Trailer Edition)

Happy Thursday to you! Hope everyone is having a great week, so far, and an even better weekend to come. Things are well here on the home front, I just haven’t had the motivation to post to the blog, here lately. I suppose two weeks in a row of stead posting was just too much for the old system to handle, eh?

I suppose the biggest thing to happen this week was the reveal of the 3rd trailer for The Force Awakens. Hitting the internet and half-time football fan’s screens on Monday night, we were given the biggest look yet at what awaits us this December. I have to admit, I wasn’t overly impressed. Seriously, I wasn’t. If it wasn’t Star Wars, I wouldn’t even give the movie a second thought based on that trailer alone. It was boring, drawn out, the music was the most action it had going for it. It was just a let down.

Now, if you come at it from the angle of, you know, the 7th movie in a series, then yeah, I can forgive it for what it’s doing. But at the same time, look how long ago those movies were … you gotta light us up a little, Disney, give us something to fawn over. Take it up a notch. And as for the new, younger fans, you think they are gonna be tripping over themselves to see something like what we saw in that trailer? Psssh. The only saving grace was, of course, that it is Star Wars VII, and that’s why the internet trembled and ticket sales were through the roof. It’s history in the making, the first movie in a 3rd trilogy of movies based on the epic tales set in a galaxy far, far away.

But yeah, other than that, it’s pretty much sleep and work of rme. So y’all have a great rest of the week and I’ll see about getting off my lazy butt again next week. 🙂
